Benn Doyle and Laurie DiTommaso Break World Records at Colonies Zone SCM Championships!

At the Colonies Zone SCM Championships held at Rutgers University on December 5-7, Benn Doyle, 50 set new world marks in the 100 and 200 breast for the 50-54 year old age group. Benn swam a 1:08.27 in the 100 and 2:32.78 in the 200 to break the existing standards of 1:08.97 and 2:33.71. Benn also set a new national record of 31.08 in the 50 breast, which broke the current record of 31.24. Laurie DiTommaso, 46 set a new world record in the 45-49 year old age group of 29.21 in the 50 fly, which broke the existing mark of 29.98.

Simply submit your total year-to-date swim yardage/mileage to Mary Sweat mhsweat@yahoo.com and she will enter you into this free fitness event. And then, you'll need to submit your monthly yardage/mileage to Mary by the 5th of each subsequent month. New! NJ LMSC Top Ten!

For each course each year, every LMSC must submit the times from meets held in their LMSC for consideration in the USMS Top Ten tabulation. Only swimmers registered in USMS can be considered.

The "Top Ten" listings for meets held in the NJ LMSC will be posted on this website. Please note that this does not include meets held outside of NJ, even if swimmers from NJ swam in them.

USMS has developed a new (smaller, but very attractive and easy to assemble) display to be used to generate interest in United States Masters Swimming at your facility. Click on the picture below to see the display currently in use at the Sussex County YMCA in conjunction with their May 3rd mini meet. This display helped the Y generate interest and their meet entries have far exceeded their expectations.
